Does your group want to help the HAWS cause?  Do you need an idea for a school or club project?  HAWS can always use your help!

Fund Raising Ideas

• GET MARRIED FOR HAWS:  Hard to register because you have all you need for your home?  How about "registering" at HAWS?  Encourage your guests to give a donation to HAWS to honor your special day.  Even better:  we'll take care of the cards and acknowledgements for you!
• Hold a supply drive for our shelter - this works great for kid's birthday parties, anniversary get-togethers, etc.!  Just check our Wish List for a list of what we need, or collect monetary donations to honor your special event!
• Special equipment purchases - contact our office for our latest "big ticket" need
• Collect blankets and towels for the kennel
• Have a lemonade stand
• Hold a car wash - or dog wash!

Here's a great idea:  on June 25th First Weber Lake Country held "Take Your Dog to Work Day" for HAWS, raising more than $800!

• Buy a brick, tile or plaque as a permanent memorial to a beloved person or pet - contact our office to learn how!
• Sponsor-A-Spay for our SNIP clinic

Business Events & Special Event Sponsorships

Hold a fundraiser for HAWS!  Local businesses are giving back - you can help them support the HAWS cause.  Some of 2010's events:  March Weight Loss Challenge, Ride for Rover.  More to come!

Underwriting one of our major fundraising events or education programs gives your organization an opportunity to participate in our mission and be associated with the valuable services and education we provide to the Waukesha County community.  For more information, contact our Development office at 262-542-8851 x107, or our Education Department at x118.

Each year our Pet Walkathon committee volunteers seek event sponsors, raffle prize donations, "celebrity" guests and more.  If you are interested in donating to or helping with this year's event, call the shelter to leave a message for the event chairperson.

Annually we seek both underwriting sponsors as well as live and silent auction item donors for our fall fundraiser, a festive night with great food, live entertainment, live and silent auctions, raffles, casino games and more, attended by more than 500 people. Call the Development office for the most up-to-date sponsorship information.
