It's always a good time to promote Spaying and Neutering in our community:
DONATE to "SPONSOR A SPAY"

The Spay
Neuter Initiative Program (SNIP) at HAWS provides spay/neuter
procedures for animals at HAWS, adopted from HAWS, and animals
belonging to breed placement groups. Since May, 2003 HAWS has
also been able to offer spay/neuter procedures for pet owners who
are struggling financially.
Spay or
neuter surgery carries a one-time cost that is relatively minuscule
compared to the long-term benefits, including the more personal
benefits above and beyond helping to curb pet overpopulation.
Getting pets spayed or neutered helps them live longer, healthier
lives. It will also make them less likely to spray and/or mark
territory, and will eliminate heat cycles. In addition, unsterilized
animals often exhibit more behavioral and temperament problems
than do those who have been spayed or neutered.
HAWS Outdoor Cat Program is making a dent in Waukesha County's cat overpopulation by spaying or neutering the county's free-roaming (feral) and barn cats for no charge. If you have, or know of someone who could (or should) take advantage of this program, call and ask to speak to our SNIP clinic.

Donations are gladly accepted! The SNIP
program at HAWS is poised to make a far-reaching and lasting
impact on animal population in our communities, but that cannot
continue to happen without your support. To make
a contribution to support the efforts of SNIP, please specify
your donations as "for the SNIP Fund".
