Special Causes Within HAWS
Buy a brick, tile or plaque as a permanent memorial to a beloved person or pet,
contact our office to learn how! Sponsor-A-Spay for our SNIP clinic to help us combat pet
overpopulation and save lives every day. Put your donation towards a special HAWS' purchase,
such as our Animal Rescue trailer. We're happy to acknowledge your gift with your business
logo on our equipment!
Business Events & Special Event Sponsorships
Hold a fundraiser for HAWS: Local businesses are giving back and you can help them support the HAWS cause.
Underwriting one of our major fundraising events or education programs gives your organization an opportunity to participate in our mission and be associated with the valuable services and education we provide to the Waukesha County community. For more information, contact our Development office at 262-542-8851 x107 or our Education Department at x118.
Each year our Pet Walkathon committee volunteers seek event sponsors, raffle prize donations, "celebrity" guests and more. If you are interested in donating to or helping with this year's event, call the shelter to leave a message for the event chairperson.
Annually we seek both underwriting sponsors as well as live and silent auction item donors for our annual fall fundraiser, a festive night with great food, live entertainment, live and silent auctions, raffles, casino games and more, attended by more than 500 people. Call the Development office for the most up-to-date sponsorship information.

Petco-Waukesha's Tree of Hope holiday fund drive in 2012 resulted in a $3,000 donation to HAWS
HAWS was again invited to a NW Milwaukee HOG Chapter monthly meeting - this time in December to spread a little holiday cheer...and receive hundreds of dollars in supplies. One of the adoptable pets at the meet'n'greet is also now a member of one of the HOG member's households. Not THAT gets our motor runnin'!
The Fleck Foundation awarded HAWS' Kids 'N Critters Day Camp with a $2000 scholarship grant.
The Waukesha Zombie Walk's 97 participants again raised cash donations for HAWS.
The Barton family's recent home reflooring project meant a donation of $320 to HAWS as part of a Carpetland Flooring Center charitable promotion.
First Weber Lake Country was at it again with their 3rd annual "Take Your Dog to Work Day" in June, raising an astonishing $3,200 for HAWS! The tradition continues and we can't wait for next year and the great fun on Golf Road. Last year's 2nd annual TYDTWK raised $2,200 - no small sum!
The employees of Paychex held a drive for HAWS in spring, raising $60 in cash and donating many great supply items for the shelter.
Gracias Casa del Rio!Casa del Rio again held it's annual MargaritaFest for HAWS...this year helping to raise more than $3500+ for our shelter through cash donations, raffles, an auction, and sales/proceeds from the weekend. It was a PHENOMENAL time - muchas gracias to everyone at Casa del Rio, and to all the volunteers and attendees!
A number of area businesses and individuals contributed funds toward the recent purchase of HAWS' Animal Rescue Team trailer. It has already been put to great use and we are thankful to have it!

- Get married for HAWS: Hard to register because you have all you need for your home?
How about "registering" at HAWS? Encourage your guests to give a donation to HAWS
to honor your special day. Even better: we'll take care of the cards and acknowledgements for you! - Hold a supply drive for our shelter: This works great for kid's birthday parties, anniversary get-togethers, etc.! Just check our Wish List for a list of what we need, or collect monetary donations to honor your special event!
- Special equipment purchases: Contact our office for our latest "big ticket" need.
- Collect blankets and towels for the kennel.
- Have a lemonade stand.
- Hold a car (or dog) wash!
